FIRST GLOBAL CONSULTANCY AND TRAINING LTD IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE ANOTHER TWO- DAY EQUALITY AND MANAGING DIVERSITY AT WORK PLACE (UNDERSTANDING DIFFERENCE) AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE

BACKGROUND: Diversity is at the forefront of sustainable organisations across the globe. In most companies, the initial training was limited to one class, usually set up by the training department. As the demographics continue to change and businesses extend their reach into global markets, companies recognize that diversity is an important part of business strategy.

Diversity describes the range of visible and non-visible differences that exist between people. Managing diversity harnesses these differences to create a positive and productive environment in which everyone feels valued, where talents are fully utilised and in which organisational goals are met.

As employees come from every part of the world especially in a multi –ethnic cultural society like UK where languages, religious beliefs, cultures and traditions are varied and may not be familiar to each of us. The goal of diversity awareness is that each person will feel respected and welcomed and will sense the organisations wish to understand and value each other’s differences.

A diversity policy that treats every employee with dignity and respect and strives to be fair and just, that always endeavour to select and retain the best-qualified individuals based upon job-related qualifications

This policy includes recruitment, selection, transfers, promotions, scheduling, training assignments, discipline, compensation, benefits and separation. A diversity awareness program has a mandate to support these strategies and a list of responsibilities that includes:
• classroom training for existing employees

To help organisations better manage diversity and inclusion at work place .
